Words and images - powerful elements of our everyday life. Most of the time we take them for granted, but sometimes something happens to make you aware of how important they are... and how thankful you are to have the opportunity to use or appreciate them. Years ago, back in 2006, for the first Blogblast for Peace, my ten year old daughter made her first peaceglobe. Though she no longer has her own blog, and though she missed November 4th, she was determined she wanted her Peaceglobe up, so she put it up in Deviant Art

My dad once gave me some advice.

I love the way that this half-human-half-animal creature is embracing the globe, that we should love the planet because this is the only one that we can live in.
