Bonfire Night
The firework display tonight was gorgeous,
and I took loads of pics. These are my favourites,
though not neccessarily those of my kids'!
Words and images - powerful elements of our everyday life. Most of the time we take them for granted, but sometimes something happens to make you aware of how important they are... and how thankful you are to have the opportunity to use or appreciate them. Here lies some of my words and pictures (which are untouched apart from cropping, unless I've said otherwise) - Please add your words to mine, and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting!

I know how important it is for the little mites to see it written. Besides, it was very enjoyable!
I know my youngest daughter loves it if anyone says anything nice about her work :-) she's a year younger than your daughter - 10 - just wrote her first off-the-cuff poem last week! She's also really into pets (in fact, has her own pet blog :-))
re photos - I took so many photos, there had to be at least one that came out! :-)
Hi,
Love the fireworks pics. :) Hope you had a great weekend.
I did, thanks, Brian! I'm hoping to come over and read the beginning of your novel later (as opposed to just the raunchy bit I last read! :-D )
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never seen pictures like these...all are unbelievable... I like the "flower bracing" the best.
Must admit, I didn't expect them to turn out so well, Steve - and that was my absolute favourite too - it just looked so perfect! When I looked at it again, this morning, I saw another picture in it - one of a hand holding a floating globe, or a flower. Pure luck it came out so well! :-D
I see a dandelion, braced against the wind, reluctant to disperse... but there will be no escape from fate...
Spectacular photographs. I have had limited success trying to capture fireworks. Love it!!
I was surprised by my own, but like I said, I took loads! :-)
Or, Steve, maybe a sea anemone?
Some people are blessed with the ability to weave beautiful tapestries out of ordinary words.
Others are empowered with the gift of capturing rare moments in time, thru the lens of a camera.
Annelisa is both blessed and empowered.
All that talent, wrapped up neatly in one petite package, topped off by a silken bow....
Thank you Chieftain (just realised I've been spelling your name wrong!) From you that means a lot!
Hi,you have some nice pictures of fireworks! I hope you can send in some more soon. I like the one that looks like a flower best.
Hi anonymous. Like these, huh? Well, I do have a few more, but where would I put them? :-)
I was trying to remember which blog I saw some spectacular firework photos on. But, for the life of me I can't remember...
