(L) Lunch

The rhyme here has taken absolutely ages to work out how to do within the limited abilities of the blogger post-creator/ editor! Absolutely ages! And, I bet when I publish it's going to be a right mess, and totally incomprehensible. Well, there's no way of knowing until I take the plunge....

This rhyme is all about layout (....oh, and some pretty disgusting monsters) !

So, here goes... let's see if it worked!

[ Poem Lunch removed for publishing Aug 2017
other rhymes from this collection now on Amazon A-Z Monsters (not) For Bed]

(Just for you, Frolicsome Kid!
I took a screen-shot of it (don't know why the heck I didn't just do this in the first place!!! :-D )

Hi r-d-kitty! Nice to see you again!

It took a long time to twirl these into shape, I'll tell you! :-D When I got it right in the post-writing screen they looked right, but if I wemt to preview screen they'd jumped out of line. Then, when I got it right in preview, I published & they jumped even further out of place!!!

But, oh what a sense of accomplishment I'm now feeling, having produced but a few lines!! :-D

Hiya Mystic - fun, don't you think? Yup, all with the editor. I had thought of scanning it in, and if this hadn't worked I would've. But it's better this way... though I haven't checked how it comes out when on Explorer (that sometimes rearranges things a bit on mine...)

Good to see you again - hope all's ok!

PS - forgot to mention
Beautiful photo of a country lane
I love strolling or riding along them - just hope the traffic drives slow when they come round the bend

I thought about using the atom one myself, but my daughter wanted it! :-)

Re the country lane - Are you joking? Even knowing that around every corner a car might be met coming the other way, the traffic is still way fast... but surprisingly, I can't remember ever hearing of an accident down it!

Steve Novak - With sixsome or fivesome you won't be lonesome... and maybe won't find it so loathesome!

Brian - I'm sure you won't become twigsome, when you're thinking of your troublesome tum?

Steve - I'm sure it'd be frivoulously flavoursome

I came late to this party, you already know what a wonderful accomplishment this was...in so many ways. I knew coming to visit you would provide the smile(s) I desired tonight.

Sorry, annelisa, I can't make out the pattern, except for the word 'gobble'. I tried highlighting the whole poem, and I unraveled 'invisible ellipses' in white, hehehe! >=)

At December 01, 2006 10:30 am, Blogger Annelisa said...

To be late is apparently a fashionable thing - so consider yourself 'in the mode', Kilroy! :-)

Glad you liked it... although short, this was one of my favourites...

Oh, it's shame you can't get this FK - I'll take a picture of the page, and then you can see what it's supposed to be!

The main verse makes the 'L',
The word 'Dribble' makes 'U'
'Slobber' makes 'N'
'Squelch' makes 'C'
'Gobble' is the upright in 'H'
'Belch' is the arch in the 'h'

= Lunch

I'll take a photo of how it looks on my screen, and put it at the bottom...
