In the forest yesterday were some lovely glimpses of raindrops. It's 1am, and I'm up at 6am, so I have to go to bed without adding many words... I hope you enjoy the pictures though!
steam rising from a the forest floor in the sunshine
You soooo have to blow this one up to catch the magic
-the whole area sparkled with diamonds!!
A grass seed, with the drops all fused together
to make one floating, upside-down puddle
A wild foxglove - there are patches of these ,
their colour splattering the edges of the paths
Here are a 'few' more foxglove pics
(they can also, quite happily, be enlarged):
An opaque raindrop
If I were a fairy, I would bathe in this pool! :-)
Can you see the other foxgloves in the drop on the right?
So, a closer look.... A newly unfurling leaf entrapped in a raindrop
OK, so you can't see any raindrops here,
but it sure was pretty with the rhodedendrons!

Hi I knew this would happen ... I pressed random the next blog button and have been hopping between some beautiful blogs - but people I do not know at all... eventually I'd come to someone I at least recognize which is you!! Having said that, I can't recall WHERE I knew your face from ... somebody's comments ... but I do. What beautiful imagery you've posted up here. I've started a new list of links great Photo Blogs - I'll put you in there. All the best to you
from Gledwood "vol 2"...
Oh, Gledwod - I'm pretty sure you've been here at least twice before... from Dan's, I think! :-D
Thank you for stopping by, and thank you so much for linking me... I'll stop by and see how you're doing!
YOur photography amazes me--will get you linked up and the appropriate start to the blogging meme
See I knew I knew you from somewhere - Dan's would be the place.
Sorry for the repetitions!
That's one of my biggest faults. Being unafraid to say the same thing twice (or many times more!!!)
Hi Annelisa! I love taking photos after a rain on nature and flowers. Lovely pics of foxgloves and especially the one that has 'diamonds twinkling'!
I have never seen a foxglove in my entire life. This is my first! =P And they sure look gorgeous, especially with the droplets of water! ;) May I know whether the pictures below the first foxgloves are their buds or fruits? =S
Hiya Turnbaby - I'm glad you've done the meme! And I see it was Bond who 'dragged' you into the blogosphere, screaming and kicking :-)
I think I need to take a look at my sidebar links... I don't think they're up to date!
:-D lol I really don't mind repetitiveness, Gledwood... In fact, with my marvelous memory (not!) sometimes a little jog does some good!
I've never taken pictures of raindrops before, Twilite. I've enjoyed watching them drip and twinkle, but I didn't know how to use the close-up features of the camera... so this is all new and fresh to me - it's great! :-D
The sparkling grass is definately my favourite, even with all these beautiful flowers!! :-)
Morning FK! You've never seen a foxglove? Is that because you don't have them over with you? Or you just haven't noticed them...?
The pictures below the first are of the buds about to bloom.
Oh Annelisa these are just beautiful. I love the last picture and want to go exploring that forest so badly!
Yet again I'm transported to a fresh New World, with your photos.
Your very clever you know!!!!
Foxgloves do not exist in tropical places, I think. I've never seen them around in my country. ;)
If the weather's good, Akelamalu, I think it must be about time to have that picnic! :-)
:-D It is a fresh new world in the sunshine after the rain, Queenie... and the scents! One can smell the pine and the grass, and the rhodedendrons even. The bluebells have unfortunately finished (their sweetness was gorgeous) but there's still so much flowering at the moment.
I guess, if you haven't got them, then you're not so likely to have seen them, eh, FK!
Wow, your photographs are AWESOME!
Thanks for visiting my blog, and for your kind comments :)
I'm glad I stopped by today. Breathtaking pictures.
Not done, but close. :)
My heart!! I love the forest. These foxgloves are spectacular. Thanks for making my afternoon.
P.S. The Dog Blogosphere has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged the dogs to get peace globes. See my post today. It's awesome! (they mentioned you, too)
he he
This is getting veerry interesting.
I thought it was funny that your Thursday thirteen (10?) was on the very games I'd been telling the kids all morning to leave alone and go outside, Whenn!! But it was a good post, and I'd much rather those sort of games than the shoot 'em up ones!
Thanks for stopping by here and saying hello!
Brian!! - I was just thinking of you earlier today, wondering how you are, and how you book's coming along (bet you've got way further than me!! :-D)
Mimi... There is a dogosphere, huh? I think you yourself through down the challenge to the dogs in your last cat post!! Something happening then, eh? Must come and see... :-D
The picnic - oh yes please. I can probably get down onto a blanket but wouldn't be able to get back up. Perhaps we should use the picnic table? :)
Stunning... I love the foxgloves close up - so beautiful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Amazing beauty and to think I sleep through it all, sooo sad! Don't think I could ever capture anything as lovely as you for my pillow and I have a close relationship...thank you so much for sharing your work, your walks, your discoveries! :)
Are you sure you're using a point-and-shoot and not some fancy SLR with a macro lens? I know you're not but I am impressed with your close-up photos. Those drops would look like fluffy balls of yarn if I tried to get that close with my camera. I don't recall ever seeing anything like those foxgloves over here. Pretty!
Wow, there's Magic In the Air
and it makes me wanna be there
close-up shots of nature fair
makes me want to look & stare
Did I almost discern
a reflection of you in the raindrop
makes me wanna drink
enticing as sucking on a lolly-pop
I'm really gonna have to find the time to come along for one of these morning walks, to drink to drink from the freshness in the air to drink to drink from the lips of a princess so fair
It is beautiful! Wish I could go out now - instead I am going to Paisley.
Having said that there is a BEAUTIFUL park/green called Gleniffer Braes in Paisley that overlooks the whole of Glasgow. Might go there after work.
The foxgloves are just exquisite; the raindrops are jewels. I took a lot of photos of foxgloves myself recently. I love the way they grow tall and pierce the eye of heaven.
i love all those flower fairy bathing pools! would love to join you there
and the second picture really is magical.
playing catchup... the second one blown up is phenomenal, you're right, and the rest are just stunning... you're so talented.
I love the birdsong... I miss it so much where I live, it breaks my heart.
enjoy your weekend from a sunny London
lotsa luv ann xxxxx

Well, folks, some mean person has marked this blog as a spammer, so it's been put on hold until this is sorted out!!! What on earth makes anyone think this is a spamming blog, huh? C'est la vie. There's always one.
So, what this means is no posts until further notice. Remember how we used to chat during my writing month? Well, maybe we could do that for now. I just hope they don't take too long to sort it out! I'll be back in a minute, after I check if the same's happening with any of my other blogs :-(
************************
Oh, sorry, Akelamalu, I think we're going to hold off on that picnic for a while... until the blog's unblocked, anyhow (really hope it doesn't take too long!) I wonder if I can post in the sidebar!! :-) )
The picnic table's definately in a great spot by the lake... and it is rather convenient for our picnic... yes, that's where we shall have it!
Sanni, sweetheart, you're welcome.
Pauline, don't worry, I'll keep on getting pics for you (though, if you're moving to the countryside, maybe you'll desire to get up earlier (you can always go back to bed later, when it clouds over! :-D )
Seriously, Dave - it's just a point and shoot! Not even a brilliant one (I've been seeing ones with a heckofa lot of pixels in the shops these days - just got to get me one of those!!) I couldn't do any fancy shots before that accidental discovery by the reservoir with the spider (no, I never read manuals, then everything's a discovery :-) besides... they're just so boring!)
I found that pressing on one side of the circular control panel at the back made it zoom in. Shame the blog's blocked, I was going to show you some more cool close-ups today :-(
Thank you, Quasar you've captured the blog in your poem (as usual) Did you really spot the camera and I in a raindrop? I was wondering if it were possible... I'd love to do that!
Hey, how come you aren't in Spain? Did you forget to go? Seeing as the excess baggage charge is more expensive than the ticket, I'll just have to have a ticket, won't I! But, you will definately have to come over some time, and I'll take you out on a morning walk! :-)
Hiya Topchamp - Hope you took your camera with you, and got some pics! Are you working now? I presume that was band playing, since it's still half-term, or don't you have this half-term up with you?
Mmmm, I love that too, Princess Haiku... they took me by surprise the other day... one day there was greenery, the next was these lovely spikes of flowers! And raindrops... they are definately nature's jewels!
:-) I can just imagine the fairies swimming in those pools, Lettuce. In fact, I got some other plant-pool photos... I hope I remember them when I get my blog back! (maybe you can remind me!)
Hello, Ann - how long has it been? Oh my gosh... have I missed the wedding!? I hope not! I shall have to come over and find out!
I shall come visiting soon, folks... just now I feel rather dejected and rejected by blogger, and am going to go read a book or something. I'll be more cheered tomorrow, I'm sure, so will come visiting then! See you soon (I hope!)
Lovely pictures. But I Wouldn't have a bath in those foxgloves... I would jump around in them!
What the f.... is that all about??? How very dare they!!!!! I hope they get it sorted soon, you could always blog in the comments box!! xx
I can just imagine you would, Sparkydog, but you'd still get very wet on your belly!!
Oh, Akelamalu... looks like it was blogger doing its usual. For some reason, it's marked this blog down as a spamming blog (with it's 'spambots) which I find really weird, as it's not as if there's even a lot of new links lately, according to technorati...in fact, they've gone down (everyone running away??? :-D )
It doesn't help that, yesterday, I was already feeling down about Julia (she's been back in hospital with a lot of pain in her bones, and I don't know if she came out today as planned, as I haven't managed to get through to her....if anyone's got a tap on some healing energy vibes, please send them to her!); then some b*****d wrote a really foul message on my headshave for cancer video.. [unrepeatable] and then my blog got frozen... I might temporarily slip over to another of my blogs, just so's I can show you the lovely photos of light through the trees today... In fact, if you go over to my dog's blog, Forest Dogs (started to try and find more blogging dogs for the blogblast for peace on Wednesday)In fact, I'm going to take my photos over there now!! I don't see why I should stop blogging, just because the robots made a mistake! :-S
I'm at work, and thought I'd pop in to see if anyone's visited... they haven't (or at least, they haven't left a message)... this not being able to blog here is getting me down... it's not as if there was any reason to pick this blog out as a spammer, so I reckon someone must've flagged it, or something, and they're just saying it's their 'spam-bots' so a blogger doesn't go off and start trying to find someone to blame... Oh well, guess they'll visit sometime, and will find this is just a legit blog, and untie the bonds so I can post again!!! Hopefully before Wednesday!!
In the meantime, you can find my dogs blogging in the forest over at Forest Dogs, if you a feeling like looking at some pics (there's some lovely sun-through-the-trees ones)
Oh what a bummer this is Annelisa, how dare they do this to you! Hopefully it will be sorted this week but in the meantime I will visit you at Forest Dogs and still pop in here daily to see if you're back. Chin up xxx
Just back from the coast, and can't believe what I'm reading. Surly they can see what your blog is about. Really wish we could find out who has done this. I am sending every bit of good healing I have to Julie, give her my (((HUGS))). Hang in there annelisa, hope you know how much I/we miss you.
I know its Julia, just pressed the wrong key, think its temper at what's happened...
Hi Annelisa!
You always amaze me. Just beautiful , I love a rain in forest. Raindrop is a spectacular and specific.
I’m feeling flavor of this forest being here.
Thanks for this beauty!!!
P.S.
Could I get one of this photo on my place?
Annelisa - This is INSANE. You are not a spammer. Are you listening, Google? Words That Flow is NOT a spammer for heaven's sake!
Unblock the blog, please....Queen Mimi is not happy.
Great Blog!! Great pictures. I will be back for more

I forgot to say earlier my love that I have your friend Julia on my Reiki healing list. x
Now if I didn't already know you're not a fan of
swearing you'd be seeing a LOT of nasty words about blogger here just now.
(there's one that begins with an F)
Don't get down about it though - Can you use your other blogs..? Perhaps a Sultana Fling about Blogger's inadequacies is in order?
annelisa,
Thank you so much for sharing these priceless moments from your life. Its wonderful to see these pics!
and gosh, i envy you for where you live. :) did i tell you that laready? i think i did.
