Words that flow...

Words and images - powerful elements of our everyday life. Most of the time we take them for granted, but sometimes something happens to make you aware of how important they are... and how thankful you are to have the opportunity to use or appreciate them. Here lies some of my words and pictures (which are untouched apart from cropping, unless I've said otherwise) - Please add your words to mine, and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting!

05 May 2007

On the way to drop the kids at their dad's last week, I took this photo at the reservoir:

Then my lovely daughter took a couple of the sun setting as we drove along [I'm training her up :-) ]:

Then, the following morning, I caught a rather nice sunrise:

And this one, I just liked the way the sun made the trees glow - a ball of fire in the branches:

Have a really wonderful weekend, folks! I hope you manage to get out and about and enjoy some of what life has to offer!

The computer's fixed???

Your daughter would seem to have inherited your eye for a great photograph - she's got a good teacher!

Have a great weekend. x

Nope, the laptop froze as I was onto my third visit. I've since restarted it twice before I've been able to get back on again :-( And, if it goes as it has been, I might only have a few minutes before it freezes again! hayelp! (as spoken by Penelope Pitstop...)

I love the 2nd last pic...it's framed nicely by the branches. Your daughter's good like her mum! I wish I was there to walk with you and get free lessons!!!

Nah, that one's mum's one.... daughter of mine did the 2nd and third pics... which I think are very good. Come on over and have a walk with me, MOI!! I'd love it! In fact, I think we both would! :-)

Hi Annelisa! Loved all the pics. Can I join you and MOI on the walk some time to catch those lovely sights?

I do hope you're able to solve the problem on the laptop. I'll go bonkers by now!!!

I'm still working it (and my temper) Twilite - I've had to restart the laptop about 20 times today because it keeps freezing - it's just a teeny bit annoying, to say the least. The only reason I'm still carrying on is that I haven't managed to visit all my favourite bloggers hardly at all this last week... I'd hoped son was exaggerating when he said it was driving him nuts, but no. He wasn't :-(

You are certainly welcome to join MOI and myself on a walk one morning... it would be a delight! And I'll look forward to it! :-)

Katie - I hope you could be one to do the painted skies... maybe you can turn one of these photos (or one of your own) into a sky-scape painting for us?

you'd better believe it, Akelamalu - I've just tried three times to get on someone's blog, and each time it froze... what is wrong with the darned thing!! :-(

Laptops are funny creatures. My freezes like that too but it's because the battery has been recalled - I really need to fix it.

I want to go on the walk too!
Beautiful shots.

Know what you mean, Richard, know what you mean - that ball of fire is the star of most of my pics :-)

Laptop problem is nothing to do with the battery, Mimi - I wish it were that simple. The only reason it can connect to the interenet at all (the only reason I'm here right now!) is because I got this external internet gadget (card) to go into the usb port. When we got the connection, we were jubilant. Ten minutes later, we were cursing with the first 'screen freeze' - you can't even get the task manager up to stop any rampaging programs... so the whole thing has to be restarted... every single darn time! :-(

I think I shall have to invite you all on a walk with me... And maybe we can have a picnic by the lake!

I am a hundred percent convinced that if I were to look at your picture every day, my blood pressure would drop:-) But your computer doesn't like me. I can never get your spot to leave comments to load:-(

Hey, Maryam join the club - my computer doesn't like me.... why it would let anyone else on, when it won't even let me on, I really don't know!! :-S

Don't worry about leaving comments, though... if you can't, you can't... as I experienced big-time today. There were blogs I just couldn't coax into responding, no matter how hard I tried... but that's just the blogosphere! When you get through it's great. If you can't... well, you just can't! :-(

It's lovely that you visit - That's enough!

There's a big, all-over blanket cloud right this minute, Quasar - no sun :-(

I'm being lazy today, and leaving the dog walking to my eldest, so I can have a lie in :-)

Hope you're going to be doing something good this weekend...and you're enjoying it as well!
