Words that flow...

Words and images - powerful elements of our everyday life. Most of the time we take them for granted, but sometimes something happens to make you aware of how important they are... and how thankful you are to have the opportunity to use or appreciate them. Here lies some of my words and pictures (which are untouched apart from cropping, unless I've said otherwise) - Please add your words to mine, and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting!

Still not blogging....

... but on the way to the chemist to re-stock on disprin, the sky was some great shades of grey:

... so I took my camera, and stopped off at the churchyard on the way past to take these:

Ok, so they're grey... but I kinda liked the sillhouetted trees against the depths of different clouds...

Thanks everyone for your good vibes and well wishing... my daughter's now feeling a whole lot better, but my younger son's temperature's through the roof...

C U soon!

I hope your kids get well soon! It really is a drag to be sick. =( I hate being sick. It means staying in bed and doing nothing. And I can't stand doing nothing! =P

I love the silhouette of the church against the grey sky backdrop. It's a neat picture! =D

Quasar - You're right, it didn't come out so grey in the photos, but I have to admit, I was feeling a bit grey, so it suited my mood!

Brian - (((hugs))) back to you - glad you're on the mend. I think I could've been feeling blue, and it came out in the photos :-D Thanks for stopping by!

Krystyna - Thanks sweetie. My son's on the mend, his temperature's almost back to normal. Now it's me who's temperature's all over the place (lucky, though, with my thyroid problem, when I have a raised temperature it actually hits everyone else's 'normal'!! Generally it's a couple of degrees below!)

(((hugs))) back to you too, Sanni - hope you're recovered from your car accident. I know it kept coming up, after I had mine, and the sound of metal crunching really grated down my backbone... brrr. It takes a while, I think, to stop those thoughts of 'what if' popping up. And to add to it, your poor old car's off the road too - makes life a bit more difficult!

Hiya Mystic - kids are recovering, but you're right, it does take it out of you... I think it's knocked me for six... especially the checking on my son all night while he was in high-fever... all very worrying. Hopefully I'll get a good night's sleep before work begins again tomorrow. :-( Could've done with another week to get over this one :-)

Hey MOI - yeah, it goes round and round in the winter. When I had the 4 children at home, it meant there was 5 of us in school, all in different places, all picking up different bugs, which we came home and so generously shared them out... they would go round and round. There's just 4 of us now, but we still like to share them... what one hasn't yet had will be freely given by one of the others... we're all so nice like that :-D

Yes, disprin is a form of asprin.

Topchamp - you got first aid? Cool! That's something I'd love to have... Reckon you might feel a bit more confident with accidents and emergencies with that under your belt? I'll call on you if I need you... though methinks it might take a while to get here from Scotland :-)

Hiya FK - You'd be pleased to be a sick kid in my household... I don't make anyone stay in bed unless they don't look well enough to get up. Yesterday, my son was up playing chess when his temperature was 102degrees (F)... laughing with his older brother! I am of the very strong belief there's nothing like laughter for healing... and it certainly made him feel better for a bit! Comics and comedy videos are also good... (books usually too hard to concentrate on).

What worries me is when someone isn't able to enjoy that kind of stuff - then I know they're unwell! (which is what it was like the couple of days before yesterday... )

I like the church, and might use it as an alternative backdrop/ frame for some of my sky-scenes to come :-)
