Another dawn, another day...
For all those in the world...
...who see the little gems hiding amongst the gravel (or in the branches of trees):
Today I was left a comment on my poem My Toes, by a blogger with the name Mytoes... this made me smile. When I read his comment, I smiled. Then I read his 'toes story'...
...well, you go read it for yourself, and see what you think... this guy and his wife are looking at life with the eyes of the living... It's not a long story, but it's worth reading...

Hey annelisa! I still cannot help but still be intrigued by pictures of the sun rising up behind the bare, deciduous trees. It's really beautiful and breathtaking, as always! =)
I have just gone to mytoes's profile, and wow, what a unique, cute idea of painting his toes for his wife to support her in fighting breast cancer. It was really nice of him! =D
Many people were distraught when they learned they were suffering from breast cancer. Some fell into depression and began forming pessimistic thoughts like "My life is over now!".
I remember watching a TV series and this lady was suffering breast cancer. She was sad to know that her hair were beginning to fall out as a result of chemotherapy and she boldly cut her hair bald and continued living, like helping people in trouble as well as trying to score a distinction in O Level English. It was really touching!
She also comforted a woman who thought that was it, it was time for her to die. I thought that was really nice of her. =) It's too bad I couldn't watch the whole series as my family and I had to go on holiday.
Hi Annelisa - here from MotherOfInvention and say hello from Norway!
The pics in your slideshow is wonderful - your such a great photographer!
Your vid on MOI was great too - well composted!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead:-)
Morning Annelisa. Thanks for everything. I am back at work today, but still sick. :(
Bring on summer.
FK - yes, cancer's a horrible thing to live through, but I think a lot of people still have the old way of thinking, before more recent advances in treatment, that diagnoses equates with death. It is awful how many still 'write off' a person once diagnosed... and, of course, that is quickly picked up by the person with the illness.
My friend (with cancer) and I came to the conclusion that you're not 'dying of cancer', but living with it - there's a difference. In the former, you are controlled by the illness, and in the latter, it is there, but not the major element of your life...
I love reading stories like that of Mytoes - the a person can spread happiness by taking a moment to do something nice, simply because they love someone...
You have my respect, Mytoes!
And hello again to you Rennyba in Norway!!
Thankyou! I'm glad the photos can be appreciated by someone other than my non-interested kids :-)
So, my video was 'composted'? :-D I've never done that to a film before... I wonder if it'll make the gardens of England grow any better! I'm guessing you meant 'composed' though... and I appreciate the complement! Thanks again!
I have to apologise, Rennyba - I meant to get back to you after the last comment you left, at the end of last week when I wasn't well... I shall pop over and see you in a minute!
Well Hello Brian - glad to hear you're out of your sickbed! Even though you're not totally well, I'm glad you're able to attempt work again (even if you do crawl on home half way through the day!! :-S)
I'm back at work myself today, and I soooo regretted it! Aches wracked me from the moment I stepped into the place - it didn't help there's lots of carrying of heavy equipement to do :-( Still, got another 15 minutes before I fetch my youngest... so time for a cuppa...!
Hiya Annelisa,
Thanks for the wonderful nurturing photos, and sharing with us Mytoes story. My grandmother died of cancer some years ago of cancer; it is a horrible disease, and I hope they can find a cure.
Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. I love your "hair" and smile in your profile picture :)
It's lovely to see you again M. Shahin - it's been awhile! :-)
My favourite photo was definately the sunrise through the branches of that tree. I'd actually gone several paces past it before I realised what a perfect 'gem' of a shot it was...
I'm glad Mytoes came to share his story with me, so I could share it with you... I really hope they find a cure (or a prevention) too... it's so hard to see someone you know struggling with any such disease. While I was doing my fundraising headshave for Cancer Research Uk, I had someone come up to me virtually every day with their story about a relative or friend of the family who had/ has cancer.
It was sad and scary... It really got to me... I just hadn't realised how many people suffer from it, or know someone who did/ is.
Hi there,
Bobby from Bestest Blog here. I just wanted to let you know that your blog has fallen out of the Top 100 Premium Blogs, and thus will not appear in my sidebar any more.
While this won't affect the number of hits you get from the Random Blog Button, it could affect your traffic in other ways. For starters, since you're not in the sidebar, your link isn't front and center for everyone to click on. Losing this link could also inadvertently affect your Google Page Rank, lowering the number of hits you receive from search engines.
Remember, you can always add to your previous donation...no need to start from scratch! Hopefully you've been enjoying the amount of traffic you've received from my site and will consider making an additional donation and help out a poor high school teacher... If not, that's ok too! Thanks for reading and keep up the great blogging!
Annelisa - I have misplaced your address... found you just now - already donno where - just roaming around.
Love your profile pic!
Love the shots you have in this post.
Intersting, I just re posted my peace globe at the side bar.
I also see for the first time the flag for "One World" - How appropriate!
A couple of years ago I was approached to host a (co-op) radio program with that theme and spirit in mind... well, another story
Hope you are keeping as well and happy as you look
Take good care
Annelisa, loved your photos as always. So full of love, light, hope.
Have a fabulous day!
I couldn't comment on my sick old computer last night! I love the 2nd photo with that sun peeking throughthe tree! You swear you can see it twinkling like a starshaped sapphire on the screen!
Glad Renny came to see you!
(Sometime, could you please instruct me on how you put links inside comments? Thanks! No rush!)

Hi Bobby - thanks for having me in the sidebar in the first place... I'm all out of loose change, so I guess I'll just have to fall from Grace (I'm just a poor single mum, slogging away at being a school science technician! :-( Fraid I likely have less cash than you!)
Angeldust! How lovely to see you again! I'm so bad at keeping in touch with people (even if I think of them a lot...)
I kept meaning to find you again when i got sent that email from Mimi by mistake... I shall find you today!!
Katie - Good to see you back - hope your trip was everything you wanted to be... I see you had an epiphany whilst you were away! Wouldn't mind one of them myself! :-D
YOu know, MOI you should really give your computer more vitamin C - I hear it's very good for viruses... and staves off those bugs they keep getting! :-)
Did you try clicking on that photo with the sun through the trees? It looks even better enlarged!
The smileys? Hmmm, I don't know all of them, but I think:

I'm sure your visits to Mytoes and my daughter were both appreciated - she doesn't know yet, so I'll wait and see her look later :-)
Oh you lucky thing, Mystic! I would love to get away somewhere - hope you're going somewhere nice [and, indeed, that it's a holiday!]
Have fun, and see you when you get back!

Hey girlfriend AE!!
I'm hanging onto that bright ball of light right there, between the v of the tree trunk........

xx rdkitty
That is so sweet about the toes....
The sun between tree picture is great. While I was working today my boyfriend went a walking and took some light through tree snaps. Didn't come out quite as well but maybe they'll get a posting at some point.
Hope you're well. Thanks for directing us to Mytoes...
Steve :-D
You have a sense of shame to lose? Wouldn't you blush? Aw shucks...
Hey RDKitty - that's my little sky-diamond, that is! I don't know about offering you the moon, but this drop of sunlight is yours! Sling a lassoo round it, and take it home...
Maryam - isn't it just! What a sweetheart he is!
Topchamp - really? He's into snapping the scenery as well? Cool - I look forward to seeing the snaps!
I think it's so lovely, what Mytoes is doing... oh, if only more were as enthusiastic, loving and novel as he! What a guy!
