Hi Annelisa, Spring is here
Hope your Sun Day is like over here
Frosty White on the Ground
Golden Yellow Sun now high above
in pale icy blue skies.

The only thing that could make it better is having you nearby - and walk in the woods or on that beach with the dogs.
Here's wishing you and the kids a great SUN DAY!

So sweet Quasar9!!

No, it's cloudy (almost solidly grey) and I'm just going to join the scouts with a rake - they're clearing the local recreational field (the 'Rec') up...

the walk in the woods, or the beach, sounds good... :-)

Hope you're enjoying your Sun Day too!!

Very worthy. This weekend I have avoided helping the Guides tidy the campsite.....

Ah, we all need an inner (or outer, as is the case of my summer bedroom)sanctum where we can hide away, totally oblivious to the outside world and in turn, where it is oblivious to us, our absence gone unnnoticed! I long for summer and my own world out in that bedroom!

It is frigid ... -20 Celsius! Very windy so it feels like -30!

So so good on the changeover from Old Bugger to New Blogger!

Damn damn and double damn! Just wrote a whole 'story' on here, and it's gone, gone, GONE!!!

Topchamp - I managed to escape the rigours of clearing the playing field as I had to turn my room around... or rather the furniture inside it. The room is just a little longer than a single bed, and I couldn't walk to the window, open the drawers under the bed, or the filing cabinets (which were a huge mistake I'm not admitting to anyone!)

Sorted now!

MOI... you have 2 bedrooms? A summer and winter one? Wow, cool! (and by the sounds of it, it's very cool!!

When I lived in Stirling, whilst doing my degree, I stayed for about a year with my ex in this double-gigantic house. It had 3 stories, and I think I once counted 17 rooms. There were a couple up on the top floor I only ever went in once (one of which had a dead bird lying on the floor, writhing with maggots (my worst nightmare! :-( )

There was a room with a piano, a three living rooms, a huge kitchen with a wood-burning aga, and the sun-room. It was this sun room that delighted me. It was warm and cosy, and you could go in there with a cuppa, and soon be ready to doze... Reading a book was the most comfortable thing in the world.

But what I loved most about this room was the view through the three sided window. You could see right along the valley (the 'Lowlands') towards the coast, with hills on both sides, like a canyon. The skies were dramatic and moody. It was simply beautiful.

And in this room, nobody and nothing touched my little world, until...

[well, maybe that's one for another day..]

I always go into this conjured place of mine (which is really nowhere but my imagination) and hide myself in there, getting lost in my train of thoughts while trying to sort things out. It takes a long time to do that but whenever I'm ready to come out, I feel so much better!

The sunrise looks beautiful! =)

Is that in a kind of meditation, or in a padded cell? :-D

Only kidding!

I do this meditation that I use to take time out... and sort things out in my life. It seems to be working when I'm there, but then I come back to reality, and everything's still just the same! :-S

Glad I'm not the only one doing that! But it seems whatever you're doing is much more effective than what I'm doing... Maybe I need more practice...

Don't we all need a place to "wallow" away and contemplate. I think all the electronics, sounds, cars, etc just makes our lives too noisy and distracting. It is good to empty it all out, and being empty is actually quite serene.

Wonderful poem! You had me a little surprised on the gobstopper line :)

Yes, M. Shahin - I love a powercut sometimes - we get out all the boardgames by candlelight, light the fire, and sit without electricity buzzing all around... but that moment of dawn, waking up to silence... that's yhe best.

Surprise.... I guess a good thing? The gobstopper - I was imagining a huge boulder blocking the entrance to my bolt-hole...

There's been a few great sunrises and sunsets lately... I dont know why... maybe they're usually covered with clouds at this time of year...

Down time in the morning... yep... the perfect peace.

I don't know, annelisa. I never imagined how that secluded place of mine looks like. Basically, it's filled with jumbled up words plus random images flying about (like a messed up presentation =P).

EXACTLY!!! Why don't they go away when we snap back to reality? I mean, come on, we pondered about it already, may our problems please leave us in peace, LOL! =P

No, it's not that effective for me either. I always end up blogging about it =P, or think about it for days =S.

I don't know why I ponder so much though. One day, my mom was "palm reading" my hands and she told me I was like her, our brains always restless. We like to think. That's what the many lines in my hands say about me.

*looks at my hands*

You have no idea! =P

Thanks Kitty - yes, you got the idea... the comfort zone was being guarded vehemently... even to the exclusion of all good things...

That 'thinking too much' thing, FK? My friend, Julia, always used to be the 'worrier', the 'creator' of the two of us. And I used to be the 'planner', the 'thinker'.

I guess, in a way, blogging can be a bit like a diary - working through problems, but with the added bonus we can get feedback... I think it helps sometimes.

I can imagine you restless... maybe you should take up a sport, like maybe... ehm... basketball? :-D lol!

Welcome Giancarlo Tejeda I see you come from Peru - one place in the world I have high up on the list for visiting!

The pictures on your blog look like a very emotional demonstration... I shall have to come back with the google translation to find out what's going on!
