I did it! I done it! I'm now officially a novelist! :-D

If I still smoked, and I was a guy, guess I'd be getting the cigars out now - I did it! I've written a novel (over 7500 today alone!!) And I'm so chuffed with myself I could burst! And to celebrate, I'm putting my first post of April up - First post in a month!

Tomorrow, I'll be back... and there's things to talk about, things to tell, things to hear - hey - I'm back!!!

Thankyou everyone for your congratulations - I'm basking in glory right now...and every now and then break out into the 'winner's dance' singing
"I did it, I done it, I wrote a novel;
I did it, I done it, It's a load of drivel!"

Ha ha! One wonders if my writing in the novel is of such bad literary quality :-D Well, I couldn't tell you, because I haven't read it yet...but it's been fun!

:-D No prompting required, TC! Boy was I tired of seeing the same old post up! I'm back, and I'm going to write a whole new post - just for the sheer heck of it - about the last month's fun... or maybe not (haven't we all had enough of that?! :-) )

Maryam... you can write 'supercalafrajalisticexpeyallidoshus'? Cool! I thought it was only for tongue-tying you! Now I've done writing, I have time to wonder about other writers out there - you being one of them. How's your own book experience going?"

((((({{{{{hugs}}}})))))Akelamalu!!! I particularly hold up my glass of bubbly to you, my friend - you have been a tireless visitor, and even when I've added nothing new, you have still taken time to stop by and give me words of encouragement. Your cheerleading has taken me round the track a dozen times, and seen me through the finish line. Thank you, my friend, thank you! I appreciate your support and your words of wisdom. I lost those last few ounces with help from you. You are my star!!

M. Shahin - (I have so often wondered what the 'M' stands for...) - Yes, it took discipline. The days when life wanted to reclaim its stake in me, and threw everything in my path to slow down my progress, it took gritted teeth to sit down, with absolutely nothing to write, and write!

I think I shall have to read it through myself first, before I decide how bad it really is. Of course, at the moment, I feel there is a touch of genius about it... but there may also be a touch of madness... I'll look, and see if there's a bit that would be readable without having to read the whole thing.

I'm sure I won't be able to stop myself gassing about my experiences! :-D

Thank you, Krytyna - you, also, were a daily cheer in the majority of the book/month. I appreciate your many visits and toast you also! Cheers!

So what happens now? Are you gonna show us?

I may soon join the aa. Bloody h' this last month or so's been a b;gger (;'s not an 'i') x Sure you can sympathise after your literary marathon.

Just noticed my sweariness is really bad today. Sorry.

I've not been a walkin much lately as have not had much time but am genuinely itching to go somewhere exciting soon..... any woods pics to stave off my craving?

Yahoo! I knew you'd do it of course! You are very determined and stick with things to the end. I hope we get a synopsis! Are you happy with the ending?

Send it somewhere and/or get it bound yourself into a book.

So is that April Fools Day joke?
Annelisa, A novel in a Month?

10 pages a day 300 pages in a month
Wow Annelisa, that's some feat!

Look forward to a read, or do we have to wait till you 'publish' and pay to take a peek of the tale of monsters from other dimensions climbing the beanstalk thru your imagination and neural networks down your fingertips, into this 3D+T 'world' of ours.

I'm going to look at it later, and see what I might be able to put up without requiring explanationAkelamalu, - patience... it's not that good :-)

Yay! I've been celebrating, alright, Mystic - by having a total brain collapse and zombie-ing out.... And visiting folks, and spending lots of time with the kids (after all, they've been soooo patient with me this last month!)

It has been difficult, but obviously not impossible, cos I somehow managed it (gives hope for future projects!)

Anna-Lys - welcome back, and thank you!

Ha Ha, Brian! I should probably calm down now actually. I think I've danced enough... got so much work to do on it yet!

Now, I should have some time to read the chapters of the story you sent me - I'm looking forward to it!

I have no idea why the date was 18th March - I didn't set it like that. Must've been Blogger's April Fool's day joke!!

:-) Doesn't matter where you put it, Dave, I'll still get it.

Thank you! And thank you also for your many encouraging words - especially to take a break. Sometimes I get a bit wrapped up in something, and can forget to do that (you should have seen me investigating my family tree - talk about obsession!! :-D)

Hey, Steve - I have a title that I've been using for the sake of having one... 'Mum's novel' didn't quite do it! :-D

I've called it Souls Apart...it's appropriate and snappy, so will do for now.
Publisher? ROTFL (that's 'roll on the floor laughing' for any that don't know that one).
Dedication? Well, there are so many I could dedicate this to - everyone who's supported me, everyone who's stood by me, everyone who's had to put up with me (that's the kids)... then there's people who I have a lot of affection for (friends), or various members of my family. But, I think this would have to be for my mum... I will try and explain in the next post.
Are you in it? Of course you are! You're the star (did you have any doubt? :-D )

Thanks for the congrats!

Soubriquet - I take a bow!
Thank you.

And thank you too, Katie - you've been a constant visitor and supporter, and I appreciate it!

Oops, I must be very slow putting up the next post, if you're already returning, TC... actually, I have been. I went visiting Sunday, and spent yesterday with the kids, and took them swimming in the evening with a friend, and then fell asleep with my little girl cuddled into me... so lovely!

Still thinking about the 'show and tell' bit... I'll take a look, now I've had a couple of days' break from it.

Oh dear, has it really been that bad? I can sympathise, but I think I shall just have to come round to do that properly. I've hijacked the computer for an hour or so, so hopefully get to come round in a bit.

You want pics of the woods? Certainly, my friend. I shall put a few in the next post!

MOI - Well, hello! Long time no see over here! Yes, 'determined' is one way of putting it... I prefer to call it 'obsessive'... reminds me to back off every now and then!! :-D

A synopsis... that's an idea. If I ever clean it up enough to send it off somewhere (Timbuktoo?) then I'll need one of them. Maybe that's how I can also focus what cleaning up I need to do, to keep it (I mean, 'get it') tight.

When I get my printer working again, I'll get a copy. I did consider taking in a wad of paper, and printing it out at work, but cash is so short there at the moment I wouldn't want to use the ink!!

Eventually...

Really, no joke, Quasar! My aching bones feel every hour on the computer typing... I invented some very interesting ways to balance the laptop after a while, just to sit in different positions :-D

It's not finished yet, though, Q9... there's padding to do. And I didn't do the research I needed to 'on the spot', so as not to break the flow of the actual writing. I'll need to go back and fill it in. Also, there's a lot of character background I worked out as I went, but didn't want to stop to elaborate.

A major feat of the first leg of the journey, I suspect :-)

A tale of monsters from other dimensions climbing the beanstalk thru your imagination and neural networks down your fingertips, into this 3D+T 'world' of ours? Oh, Quasar, I hope you write this one!! :-D (how come I didn't think of this myself...?)

Thanks, AL. My old computer can barely get on your comments page and takes forever to download all the cool stuff you've got so sometimes it's just as easy to e-mail a comment! Some day I'll get a computer with more juice and maybe I'll step up from the lousy Windows '98 I have!!!

Thank you so much, Dan! I really love that you found time to stop by, when you have sooo, so, many visitors to your own site!! (((hugs!))

That massage worked a treat, Sanni - MMmmmmm, lovely, I needed that! Thanks for the congrats, and for coming and cheering me on! :-)

Kitty, me ol' pal! I have to thank you for accompanying me on my journey! You're right, it has been a turning point... the biggest has been that it's helped me realise I can turn out that number of words, that I can finish something I start, and that I have a long way to go before my initial pap can become the most amazing novel in the world! :-D It's been fun, and I couldn't have done it without my friends dropping by and encouraging me! So thank you, my sister-across-the-sea! (((Big hugs and kisses back!)))

Just for you, I've removed some of the 'extras' on the page - even I was noticing it was taking a long time to load! If I were to use my old laptop, it probably would've taken the rest of this week. It's when the graphics you use are 'stored' somewhere else... the computer had to call each different website to obtain the piece. I can do without them, but I can't do without you!! :-D

Thanks for your patience, sweetheart - I appreciate it!
