Another early morning walk...

The moon was falling as I arose.

Can you see the frosty field through the trees?

You know that picture of a misty field from 12th march?
This is where I sit when I look at that field.

...and again, in the early morning light

Liked the way the tree's branch cast a shadow

Oh, how I like that bench!

See the colour of the sky at 7am? Nice, huh?

This tree is way off the main path, but the sun kept glowing the unfallen leaves, so I fought my way through thigh-high brambles to get a close up. To be honest, it looked better, and more alluring, from a distance!! :-)

A burning bush? :-)

Near the end of the walk. I took the roads today, as I wanted to hurry.
It's pretty hard to walk fast through brambles with a long coat on!
:-S

Sorry if I only post these photos today - I'm meeting up with family and friends to go back to the forest (without dogs) to play in the adventure playground. Got to go pack a picnic now! See you later. Hope you have a great day!!

What is it you like about that bench? Looks a little spare to me...no cushion, not even big enough to lay down on! lol

Hiya folks, sorry I'm not around, even though I'm out of the writing malarky period... I'm doing stuff with the kids [just finished baking chocolate flapjacks :-)] but am well aware that I have some serious visiting to all my lovely friends here - and am going to keep the date in a short while. I'll be sporadic, at least until next week, when they're off to their dad's! Please bear with me... pretty please? :-D

RDKitty, my old friend, you might find me hidden behind a tree up the forest, or perhaps on a boat in the sea... or maybe just curled up by that fireside, waiting for you to come join me in a hot choccie! :-) Could be right about my shadow creeping in... I've been playing with my shadow in the early hours of the morning, when no-one's around.... dancing with it up the forest... maybe I'll show you the pics sometime, lol :-D

...and I haven't been the same without blogging, either

Akelamalu - the long winding road also is very steep down into the dip & back up again... Right in the dip at the bottom is a little streamlet that runs from left to right. Further along, on the right, there's a copiced area, where some early morning in the summer I've surprised a herd of deer. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them in quite some time. Hopefully, opening the forest up to the public hasn't scared them off!

It is beautiful, Topchamp...If I have time after visiting today, I'll put up some of the shots of the adventure playground (for adults too! :-D yay!)... the equipement is dotted throughout the trees, and some of it is hard to find, as the new wood fades to grey and blends in!

They've also recently built all these high-wire, tree-top adventure stuff - looks great, and when I can gather some finances, I'm going to try it!! :-)

Crikey, Brian - I hope, starting at that time, you're off home earlier... would be one heck of a long day otherwise!

Hope you've got the long weekend to look forward to! :-)

I don't know what it is about certain views, and sitting looking at them sitting, Steve, but if it could be bottled...

Can't you see the moss cushion? It's a great place to lay your bod down if you want a nice break in a walk.... not such a great place first thing in the morning, though... tends to soak up the dew or mist... and then your clothes tend to sponge it up :-)

Monsters are everywhere, Mystic... really! :-D Haven't you got them where you are? They hide in all the secretive places, and now and then jump out on you when you're least expecting them :-)

You're welcome to use a pic anytime, Mystic, me ol' pal!

AL!

I can't get on your comment page! More often than not, it says, page can't be displayed! ARGH!

I love all those benches ....they're so inviting! (Even at that time of the morning! I could sit down with a hot coffee and contemplate life!) I love the slanted rays of the sun at that time.

I wanna go on that picnic! I'll even bring my own egg salad sandwich!

Hope you had a great time with family....minus dogs!

You would be welcome to come on a picnic with us,MOI... when do you get here? :-)

What I love most about that time of the morning, apart from the angle of the rays, is the lovely orange light... everything looks more golden than any other time of the day - beautiful! And so worth getting up for!

We had a lovely day, thanks - I'll put some pics up sometime... it's some playground, for both kids and adults (so lovely to be able to actually join in with the kids, instead of simply watching!)

And, so much more relaxing without the dogs (couldn't have taken them anyway - not with all the little kiddies that were there!)
