Words that flow...

Words and images - powerful elements of our everyday life. Most of the time we take them for granted, but sometimes something happens to make you aware of how important they are... and how thankful you are to have the opportunity to use or appreciate them. Here lies some of my words and pictures (which are untouched apart from cropping, unless I've said otherwise) - Please add your words to mine, and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting!

Zandor

.
Ok, seem to be finding ways round this loss of comment thing, thank goodness. Couldn't find your profile, Madd (isn't that crazy - must be there somewhere!!) so, I couldn't email you!!!

I'm going to try and do the first of my Christmas shopping in a minute, but first....

I found this rhyme in the bottom of a pile of paper, and because I'm feeling like I just don't stop at the moment, I'm going to take a couple of mins to put it up!

I must have been in a very sleepy mood when I wrote it, cos there's lots of ZZzzzzz s!!

[Poem Zandor removed for publishing Aug 2017]

:-D I know it wasn't polished - I think it was more of a doodle, but I kinda like the speed of it!

Hey, I normally love photos of sky and light, so really liked some of the photos.
Really really liked the photo above this line "I must have been in a very sleepy mood when I wrote it, cos there's lots of ZZzzzzz s!!

Hiya Brian - Stormy skies from Friday, when I started to walk to work. On the way, the bus I should've caught - if only I'd know it existed - passed me by whilst on the phone to my boss! This, just after I'd phoned my daughter's school to find out the time of her 'nativity' celebration, and found out it was in the morning, not in the evening as she'd told me... So, in the end I walked home again (the scenic route)... and took these pictures as I went.

Shopping? Ha, what shopping!!?! First shop I went into, had to queue for ages (as you do at this time of the year) - Got to the counter, and booked the last of the game I'd been going in for, and the visa authenication centre went down. Got stuck at that counter for nearly an hour (they tried this, and they tried that, they took a cheque, then had to use the same card to guarantee it.... ) And I was at the front of the queue - imagine how those at the back must've felt!! :-S
Didn't get a lot done :-(

Ashish - hello and welcome! Actually, that was one of my favourites too... it is an oak tree that we used to climb when I was a kid (no easy task either, since it has no low bottom branches!) in the local playing fields.

Aha! Was it you who wrote in the next post, Quasar, and didn't leave your name? :-) Should've guessed... Good to see you back!

hi anonymous (seeing as you didn't leave your name, you truly are) - shopping will now have to wait. Christmas is turning out a bit of a disaster, so am thinking of cancelling it! :-D

It's letting me comment as a blogger now! Sheesh! I just can't keep up!

You can't cancel! I'll help you shop! I'm almost all wrapped now!

Yahay! Welcome back MOI - as yourself!

I might manage to go shopping today, depending on whether I'm taxi-ing kids or not. You're almost wrapped? Well done! (But have you got the tree up?)

I didn't realise there are lots of English words with Zs in it. I try to keep the Z-words in the poem in mind the next time I play Scrabble! Great job for thinking up of Z-words and love the poem and the stormy pics! =)

Hey FK! I have a feeling I might have been a bit loose with the 'z's actually. Looking at it now, I'm pretty certain 'phaser' is with an 's' and possibly 'laser' too! :-)

... put it down to artistic licence! :-D
