Stormy Day 2

Had hours and hours of driving today, so I'm just going to post a couple more end-of-storm photos (there's still loads more, but I think just one more post's worth is as much as I want to milk this one! :-)

See that twisty cloud behind the tree?

Doesn't it look good close-up?

(And, to me, this sky was perfect!)

Absolutely, Ann!! Gorgeous weather the last couple of days... shame about the drizzle today! (I'd much rather snow and cold, than this wet that seeps through your skin into the bones... brrrr

Yes, Maryam, that's my favourite of these too!

Wish I knew where you were, Mystic, so I could place your description to an area... This tree is actually one of the few left after copicing... the area around it has been cleared to enable tree growth to be stronger(and logs used commercially).

There are areas of the forest looking like my shaved head...shorn to the ground... And all around are tall trees. I've been told this is necessary, since, before man came along, animals used to graze the area so strongly that natural clearing were made...

I see some poodles in your clouds, Sky Girl! This time of year, I love how the branches on trees are really highlighted. My fav is when the sun is trying to come out through an otherwise grey misted and snowy background. Saw a perfect one on Sat. but didn't have my camera!!

Where the heck are the poodles, MOI???? I've looked and looked... what are you on? :-D

Oooo, I wish I were where you are, MOI... I could do with a lovely snowy scene. We've had snow today, but it was really just slush, landing in an inch of water - yuk! Wet feet is all I got! :-(

I'm definately coming to stay with you for snow and split pea and ham soup!! :-)

Hi Q9... when I just opened up the page, it took ages for the first two to open... guess it's just blogger playing up again!

Yeah, when there's a storm around there seems to be some fantastic scenes in it's path... Funny, the sky was full of every type of cloud that day... from white cyrus to big fluffy, to the most thunderous grey... great stuff!!

Hahaha, I have another impression of the cloud. The cloud in the second picture looks like a twisted donut (I don't know whether that exists in the bakery shops over there!). =D

I love the silhouette of the tree standing out from the backdrop of the sky! Very wintry indeed! ;)

All is forgiven, Quasar9... Methinks you might have had more on your mind than waiting for photos to arrive... I notice there's been a lot of comments from Anna-Lys on your blog lately? ;-D
